According to fresh reports, Facebook is said to launch its cryptocurrency in 12 countries next year. It has been referred to internally as 'GlobalCoin', and the company plans to start testing its cryptocurrency by end of this year finally set up a digital payments system in the first quarter of 2020. Facebook is said to provide users an affordable and secure way of making payments with GlobalCoin. It does not require users to have a bank account and the company is said to be in talks with money transfer firms including Western Union to streamline the process and make it easy for people to send and receive money. The company also plans to join hands with banks and brokers that will enable people to change international currencies into Facebook's digital coin. Reportedly, online merchants are planning to partner with Facebook GlobalCoin as a mode of payment in return for lower transaction fees. However, Facebook will need to overcome regulatory and technical hurdles before launching it commercially next year. The company's founder Mark Zuckerberg met the Bank of England's governor, Mr Carney to discuss the opportunities and risks involved in its cryptocurrency and has also sought advice on operational and regulatory issues from officials at the US Treasury. Cashify has announced that it will launch its e-commerce platform in June 2019 and the company plans to sell refurbished gadgets, accessories and more on the platform and also through its offline kiosks. Initially, Cashify will be selling refurbished smartphones from brands like Xiaomi, Apple, OnePlus, Vivo, OPPO, Samsung, and Huawei and these refurbished smartphones will be certified with 6-month post-purchase warranty. The company says that all the refurbished devices will be thoroughly tested at its operation centers located at Gurugram, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru before selling it to customers. Apart from this, Cashify has also planned to open a chain of exclusive Cashify Stores which will be a one-stop platform for consumers to sell their old smartphones, repair broken/damaged screens, or buy any accessory they want for their smartphones. BenQ, the company known for its wide range of monitors and projectors, today, launched two new 4K Home Projectors, W1700M, and TK800M in India. The new projectors are the successor to the previously launched BenQ W1700 and TK800. BenQ W1700M is a 4K home cinema projector that can output 4K UHD content at a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and contains 8.3 million distinct pixels for each frame. In order to minimize the projector's profile, the W1700M uses 0.47-inch single-DMD DLP technology. It also comes with the company's CinematicColor technology and supports HDR10 and HLG(Hybrid Log-Gamma). BenQ TK800M is also a 4K home projector that is optimized for sports watching experience.
