Xiaomi rolled out Android Pie based MIUI 10 Stable update for the smartphone and introduced 960 fps slow-motion video recording back, super low-light mode in MIUI Global Beta ROM back in December, the company recently rolled out Global Beta update to enable Widevine L1 support so that users can stream HD content on Hotstar and Amazon Prime Videos. Xiaomi introduced Game Speed Booster in MIUI Global back in 2018 and now it has introduced Game Turbo in MIUI for POCO which was recently showcased in a media event. Google, at I/O 2017 unveiled Google Lens with the ability to identify objects and, and at I/O 2018 it announced that Lens will be available directly in the camera app on supported devices from various OEMs including LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, HMD/Nokia and OnePlus. Google Lens is already available as a standalone app on the Google Play Store and can also be accessed from Google Photos. Other than Google, OnePlus, ASUS, Nokia, Motorola and other OEMs have already integrated Google Lens inside the system camera app, and now Xiaomi has also updated its MIUI Camera app which brings Google Lens integration. Head over to MIUI camera app on your smartphone to use Google Lens. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Go it's the first Android Go smartphone in India at an event this week. It packs a 5-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 425 SoC with 1GB of RAM, and runs on Android Oreo (Go edition). Last month, it launched the Redmi Note 7 in the country,  which was launched with a different camera sensor in China earlier in January. Redmi Note 7 Indian variant and Redmi Note 7 Chinese variant share the same codename ‘lavender’. Now, the company has released kernel sources for these smartphones, Redmi Note 7 (codename lavender) kernel sources are based on Android Pie and Redmi Go (codename tiare) kernel sources are based on Android Oreo. Even though the source code is not useful for normal users, it would be helpful for Android developers and tinkerers who would like to create custom software builds.
